In the 1st International Conducting Competition NINO ROTA held in Matera – Italy from 10th to 15th October 2016 (total of 143 entries / selected 68 competitors), Naoyuki Hayashi was awarded as one of the best 6 Semifinalists.
Also, on October 17, 2016 after the competition, he appeared in the Prize-Winners’ Concert held at the Orfeo Theater in Taranto – Italy. He conducted the Magna Grecia ICO Symphony Orchestra, the official host orchestra of the competition. At the concert, he won the Best Audience Special Award by getting the most number of votes from the audience.
